Low light houses (Sitges)
A shelter designed to accompany the night
The house embraces the logic of night: as the surroundings darken, the interior light dims with them. The project utilizes very low intensity levels and extreme amber color temperatures—1001K, developed with Kerai technology—which virtually eliminate the blue component of the spectrum. The result is a light that doesn't disrupt the body's natural transition to rest.
The lighting integrates organically with the nature surrounding the house. Interior and nightscape share the same warm twilight, without luminous boundaries to break the continuity. Darkness isn't fought: it's inhabited. Each layer of light accompanies the biological rhythm of those who live in the space, creating an atmosphere where rest isn't sought—it simply arrives.
